Dear Tom Love - For me the main tool is being present in every moment - living the basic principles of ACIM - and choosing love instead of fear in every moment - For me the uncomfortable sensations are gifts for they show me my own resistance to Love. Like everything els ein my world - fear is a messenger simply showing me that I have staryed from Heaven once again -

I've just started reading the Course and "Disappearance of the Universe." I'm having trouble with the concept that God did not create the world. Then how was this very complex, beautiful universe "created?" I can't conceive that any of us humans could come up with trees, flowers, oceanlife, microlife, stars, etc. as well as the complexity of the human body. I always looked at these things and thought that God was "in the trees," etc., and that beautiful classical music and the like was God. I get that our real life is with the Holy Spirit and in heaven, but who came up with the universe?
Dear Sueg love - The Universe is relative to the eyes of the beholder. No-thing is actual in the illusion we call life - By our beliefs is our world made. Each Universe is individual - Unique and solely according to ones own beliefs does it appear as it does. We are makers of the world we see.
God is the Creator - God is Love. When we align with God's Will we become a channel for His love -
There is only Cause in God. God Extends Himself and Love IS...
In the world of opposites - Where we appear to live every-thing is man made - All are born unto man and will die as the man that came before.
God/Love is eternal.

I have a question:
Recently I seem to have come up against some core of fear while practicing The Course. This fear typically arises as I become intensly willing to surrender this ego-based world that I have created. The fear feels as though death is near me in a very real, physical sense. It shakes me quite thouroughly. Is this natural? Is this the last defense of the ego?
In some ways it feels like some sort-of mental disease. I would greatly appreciate any help out there.
